Birds,  2023

Earthenware, glazes
approx. 15 × 16 × 15 cm each

The Birds series began during my time living in London, emerging from daily encounters with urban nature. Birds — symbols of freedom — inhabit the city as both native and invasive species, appearing and disappearing against the backdrop of buildings, concrete, and constructed environments.

Each bird is formed as a collage of found and sculpted elements — fruits, shells, and ceramic fragments — assembled through a process that echoes birds’ instinctive gestures of gathering and nesting, resulting in hybrid, animated forms.
